THE GOVERNOR GEORGE PATAKI CENTER'S

BORN IN THE SAME SPACE PROJECT

FOSTERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS IN SPACE

The next chapter is above us. The next generation will help write it. Connecting students with world-renowned astronauts and leaders in space exploration through STEM education, space policy, and international exchange.

Through direct engagement with astronauts and industry experts, student competitions, and focused research, we give students opportunities to tackle the challenges of space exploration. Participants study space law, international cooperation, and emerging issues such as lunar development and resource use, then develop their own policy proposals and practical solutions for the future of space.

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

1. Access to Astronauts and Experts

Creating opportunities for students to learn from astronauts, scientists, engineers, and leaders in space exploration through educational events, conversations, and mentorship.

2. STEM and Career Exploration

Introducing students to fields including aerospace, robotics, artificial intelligence, astronomy, and satellite technology, alongside careers in law, communications, and public service.

3. Space Policy and Diplomacy

Helping students examine how governments, companies, and international institutions approach exploration, cooperation, safety, and the responsible use of space.

4. Student Research and Collaboration

Encouraging students to investigate real questions, develop proposals, and exchange ideas with peers across universities, communities, and countries.
